At Benton Community, we pride ourselves in providing a quality education for a lifetime of learning for all of our students.  In fostering collaboration between special education and general education, teachers can work together to create inclusive classrooms that cater to the diverse needs of all students.

Regular communication and joint planning sessions between special education and general education teachers allow for the development of individualized strategies to support students with diverse learning styles and abilities.  Special education expertise can be shared with general education teachers, providing insights into differentiated instruction and personalized interventions that can benefit all students at Benton.

By focusing on common educational goals and leveraging the strengths of both special and general education, teachers at Benton work towards closing the achievement gap and fostering an environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.  When students feel success in the classroom, they are more likely to become lifelong learners.
