Brylee Bastian, 3rd Grade Teacher, Atkins Elementary
Our third-grade class recently embarked on an exciting journey into the life cycle of a seed. Students eagerly observed the stages from seed to sprout, engaging in hands-on activities that brought the process to life. They examined seeds and documented their growth over time, discovering how water, sunlight, and nutrients play a vital role in plant development.
Through interactive lessons, students learned to identify the different parts of a seed and the changes it undergoes as it transforms into a thriving plant. This hands-on approach fostered curiosity and a deeper understanding of the natural world, sparking a love for science and discovery.
