Keystone Elementary Principal

Keystone Elementary is located on the western side of the Benton Community School District. We are committed to providing a high-quality education for our students in preschool through third grade. Like all students at Benton CSD, students at Keystone Elementary receive an experience that is academically rigorous and centered on social-emotional growth that is developmentally critical. We also believe in a collaborative approach to developing the whole child to be productive citizens of our school community by modeling the core values Bobcats hold dear: Caring/Belonging, Academic Excellence, Continuous Growth, and Teamwork. 

A Message from the Principal:

Dear Keystone Elementary Families,

I am grateful to serve as the principal at Keystone Elementary. I feel to my core that Benton is "A Place to Belong," and I hope your student feels that as well. Keystone takes pride in its home-school communication. We cannot do the work that we do without your support at home. My vision is to continue and even build upon the strong communication structure already established. Communication between home and school is critical. Expect us to communicate via phone, email, the district website, Facebook, a weekly newsletter, and Seesaw. If you need help getting access to any of these forms of communication, please contact Lyndy Roost at lroost@benton.k12.ia.us.

My number one priority is always the safety and security of all of our students and staff at Keystone Elementary. That being said, I hope you support us in encouraging your child(ren) to attend school daily. Research has proven that regular attendance plays a strong role in academic excellence. I believe the parent/school collaboration is crucial to the development of our students. Please know our staff here at Keystone wants to see every student succeed. Sometimes our students have to face adversity, and we will be here every step of the way cheering them on!
