Technology is all around us, but are all those technologies good or bad for our society? 5K is currently practicing their research and writing skills by creating an opinion essay over a technological topic. After choosing a topic and forming their opinion, students began researching in order to better understand and support their opinion. Students are currently in the drafting phase of our writing process and are really excited to share their essays and opinions with their classmates. Once students have completed their writing pieces, they will be creating a presentation centered around another piece of technology. This time students will be explaining how that technology has impacted people's lives. These assignments are great ways for students to practice and hone their writing, researching, and presentation skills before they get to the High School level!
Some topics for students' opinion essays include: Driverless Cars, Electric Cars, Artificial - Intelligence, Social Media For Kids, and Smartphones For Kids.
